In the word of the Crucible, Archons who attain remarkable triumphs and unlock the most significant Vaults are believed to be temporarily whisked away to a dimension and time known solely to the Architects. Referred to as Ascension, this theorized phenomenon is regarded by true believers as the most revered accomplishment an Archon can achieve.

Deck Ascension brings the story of the ascension to real-life tournaments, removing decks from the competitive play as they achieve victory and glory during the current competitive season. To cap the competitive season, these vaunted decks to will once again be allowed to take to the battleline in the KeyForge World Championships and Open tournaments.

Any deck utilized in an Archon or Alliance tournament that qualifies a player for the World Championship will be marked as Ascended for the competitive season, along with any deck that achieves 1st place, regardless of whether the player qualified in a prior tournament.

Ascended decks are prohibited from being used in further World Championship qualifying events for the remainder of the competitive season.
