Welcome Vault Masters 2023!
Taking time off to attend one of our Vault Tours, and often traveling a significant distance, takes true commitment by players. To show our appreciation and commitment in return to the individuals making this journey, we decided to create a special KeyForge set in secret: the Vault Masters 2023, a set only available to players attending a Vault Tour stop.
Vault Tour – Philadelphia saw the grand reveal of this much kept secret. Let’s dive into some of the details of these special decks.
The Master of the Algorithm
Vault Master 2023 decks are generated using a special set of KeyForge cards from houses Brobnar, Dis, Logos, Mars, Saurian, Star Alliance, and Untamed. Every KeyForge set from Call of the Archons through Winds of Exchange is represented in the card pool, bringing together a broad set of iconic cards from the game’s entire history.
This creates new, never before seen card combinations to appear alongside returning classics such as Binate Rupture with Interdimensional Graft (aka BRIG) or Drummernaut with Ganger Chieftain (aka GangerNaut) and many more!
Each Vault Masters deck’s name continues to use the algorithm to generate. However, we specifically designed it to include “Vault” or “Master” in the name. We also went a step further to feature an icon for the Vault Tour season on the cardback of each card.

Reap for Decks
Vault Masters 2023 decks are exclusive to Vault Tour events with limited availability. Those attending a Vault Tour event will be limited in the number of Vault Masters 2023 decks they can walk away with for that event. Players can get one deck for free for attending the event and may purchase up to an additional three decks at the show. No additional decks will be obtainable by a player at a single event. Players will be able to obtain more decks by attending additional Vault Tour events.
These decks are a limited print run in addition to their exclusivity to Vault Tours. Once the Vault Tour season is complete, this particular iteration of the Vault Masters set will likely never be printed again!
Tournament Legality
While these decks are a limited run, we wanted to keep these in line with all past sets. This means Vault Masters 2023 decks are tournament legal. We strongly believe that the limited availability combined with the ability to run these decks in tournaments is what makes them a truly special gift for Vault Tour attendees. The ability to use them at sanctioned events makes them more than a novelty prize and brings a unique flavor of rarity and mechanics to the tournament scene. Also, Vault Masters 2023 is KeyForge a set, so players can create an Alliance deck using three pods from up to three different Vault Masters 2023 decks.

Bringing the Impact
As with all new KeyForge sets, Vault Masters 2023 required testing and refinement to achieve the right balance between power, fun, and collectibility. We believe we achieved that thanks to the help of our broad pool of KeyForge play-testers, most of whom also made important contributions to the Winds of Exchange set. Here’s a big “thank you” to our play-testers for helping to make this surprise set happen.
What combinations will you find inside? We hope you look forward to snagging one of these decks at an Vault Tour event near you! Next up is Roseville, MN. Book your tickets today!
