Three champions were able to squeeze Æmber from the barren desert sand to clinch victory in one of three major tournaments that took place over the weekend. Several players succeeded in securing leading positions in multiple formats, demonstrating that skill truly transcends from one format to another. Numerous players who had previously reached the top cuts before Las Vegas also made additional appearances, including another first place victory for player Flaming Hobo.

We introduced another set of decks to the Hall of the Ascended, with special accolades to show off their accomplishments. As a reminder, Ascension removes these decks from Organized Play (additional rules governing Ascension are in the TRG) until the World Championships. Ascended decks at this tournament did show up to Worlds ready to rumble (more on that in the pending KeyForge Celebration recap article!).

Onto our glorious tradition, Archons, as we honor the accomplishments of our victors!

Sealed

Las Vegas hosted 56 players on Friday to kick off the event, proving that Sealed still remains the top KeyForge competitive format. This was the final time KeyForge: Prophetic Visions was used at a Vault Tour stop in 2025, leading to some robust pod selections and strategies.

Players competed using 1-3 sealed decks. Decks were constructed using the Alliance deck mechanics. Sealed allows players to swap house pods from their three decks between rounds. Because of this, we do not have a detailed breakdown of the houses used, pod selections, or top cards of this tournament.

ARCHON

KeyForge: Prophetic Visions was the favorite of many of the 44 players participating in the Archon tournament on Saturday. While it did manage to be the set that bested the tournament, it had about the expected number of decks in the Top 8. KeyForge: Tokens of Change did quite well considering it was only represented by four players, and it turns out there’s at least one KeyForge: Call of the Archons deck that can compete with the newest decks. Here is the complete field breakdown:

Dis, Logos, and Shadows have been the favorite house combination since players have settled into playing KeyForge: Prophetic Visions. This tournament did not rock the boat in that regard. Notably, Saurian and Mars edged up in rankings since their last appearances. Here’s the house breakdown for Archon:

1. Logos (23 decks)
2. Dis (18 decks)
3. Shadows (15 decks)
4. Geistoid (11 decks)
5. Mars (11 decks)
6. Saurian (10 decks)
7. Star Alliance (10 decks)
8. Untamed (8 decks)
9. Ekwidon (7 decks)
10. Sanctum (6 decks)

Cards that appeared most frequently in Archon decks were:

1. Infurnace (14 total)
2. In Here Somewhere (14 total)
3. Reiteration (14 total)
4. Parasitic Arachnoid (13 total)
5. Strug (12 total)
6. Wild Wormhole (11 total)
7. A Gift of Æmber (10 total)
8. Bandit Culver (10 total)
9. Hazard Zerp (10 total)
10. Junk Restoration (10 total)

Alliance

Alliance ran simultaneously with Archon due to logistical constraints. Even so, 13 players joined the tournament in lieu of the Archon format. This constitutes running to a Top 8 according to the latest Tournament Rules & Guidelines.

There was no particular set to beat in this field, although KeyForge: Prophetic Visions saw all but one deck enter the Top 8, as did KeyForge: Tokens of Change. KeyForge: Grim Reminders ultimately claimed the championship, piloted by player Thytiom. The entire field was like so:

As was the case with Archon, Dis and Logos were very much part of the top houses, but Untamed had a wild upswing in overall percentage of the field. House representation was definitely less varied in this field, though, and ultimately ended up looking like this:

1. Dis (9 decks)
2. Untamed (9 decks)
3. Logos (7 decks)
4. Star Alliance (6 decks)
5. Mars (3 decks)
6. Redemption (3 decks)
7. Geistoid (1 deck)
8. Unfathomable (1 deck)

The top 10 cards that appeared most frequently in Alliance decks were:

1. Infurnace (6 total)
2. Nature’s Call (6 total)
3. Punctuated Equilibrium (6 total)
4. Dark Minion (5 total)
5. Subtle Otto (5 total)
6. The Forsaken (5 total)
7. Banish (4 total)
8. Com. Officer Kirby (4 total)
9. Cosmic Recompense (4 total)
10. Fangtooth Cavern (4 total)
