As the last leaves fall in the light of the æmber skies and the echo of the final refrain fades to memory, the conclusion of the KeyForge Celebration signifies the close of yet another season of Organized Play. Our adventure throughout 2024 has been rich with stories of victories, challenges, accomplishments, and defeats, but one thing has remained steadfast: Community. A relentless force that uplifts the weary and rejoices with the triumphant.

KeyForge Community, your dedication is what makes KeyForge possible. Regardless of whether you joined the 153 souls who showed up at KeyForge Celebration, watched the festivities from afar, supported your local community, or did some combination of those things, every contribution matters. It is the collective effort of everyone, from the largest to the smallest deed, that breathes life into the world of the Crucible. Thank you for being a part of all we do.

KeyForge Celebration 2024 was Ghost Galaxy’s most ambitious event to date, spanning four days from November 7 to 10. The event featured a monumental lineup of seven main tournaments, complemented by a variety of side events and community-led activities. It was all the celebrate this most unique and storied game that brings us all together: KeyForge.

KeyForge Celebration wouldn’t be the same without competition and tournaments. Throughout the weekend, participants experienced a rich array of events, including the elite invite-only World Championships and several Open tournaments for those not in the running for the World Championship. We also hosted a Last Chance Qualifier, welcoming 24 eager players into their chosen World Championship. For competitive players, the weekend was a whirlwind of activity, boasting at least seven main tournaments to dive into!

The competitions saw 417 tournament sign-ups, we count no less than 48 total participants in our Top 8s, and we forged six champions! There are so many players and decks to highlight that we’ve had to create a standalone article just for them. Emperor Riku and Bamboo29 have journeyed from Vietnam to share their heartfelt story of love and KeyForge with everyone, but they weren’t the only ones who traveled far from home.

Many contingents of players from around the world joined us this Celebration. We welcomed participants from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Italy, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan!

Among them were Wei Do and Willy510, who had just competed in the National Championships in Taiwan and Hong Kong. They made a spontaneous decision to attend the event. They did well, finishing second in the Sealed World Championship (Wei Do) and Top 8 in the Archon World Championship (Willy510)!

KeyForge truly transcends borders, and we are absolutely delighted that players invested their time and treasure to be part of this Celebration!

This speech included two highly anticipated announcements: Deck Clones and Deck Accolades.

Deck Clones are unique replicas of a KeyForge deck that can only be used by the current owner, featuring distinct markings to signify their status as copies. For further information on clones, visit the Deck Clone page.

Deck Accolades are special symbols awarded to the top-performing decks, which owners can choose to have printed on their clones. This allows top players to showcase their achievements directly on their decks! More details about accolades can be found on the Deck Accolade page.

We have already expressed our gratitude to the amazing KeyForge Community for their contributions to this unforgettable event, but there are many other individuals, both in the spotlight and behind the scenes, who played a vital role in making it truly special.

Our venue partner, Gamezenter, graciously hosted us for the third time, allowing us to add yet another group of champions to the legendary tales that resonate within its historic walls. We deeply appreciate the dedication of their staff, who ensured that all our attendees were well taken care of and assisted us in preparing the event space. A special thanks goes to them for helping organize meals for our guests on select event days. Thank you, Gamezenter!

DoubleTree Roseville provided our guests with comfortable accommodations and supported community organizers in hosting events beyond the Gamezenter venue. Their on-site restaurant, Axel’s, played a key role in honoring the Vault Warriors with a memorable dinner. The contributions from both establishments made the hotel stays nearly as unforgettable as the Celebration itself. Thank you, DoubleTree and Axel’s!

Lastly, we must extend a heartfelt thank you to our judges: Marcus D’Amelio and Gee Barger. Their ongoing support of Ghost Galaxy at events and beyond has been incredible, and they continually collaborate with us to enhance the experiences we create together. They have been with us for numerous events over the past two years, and we look forward to many more. To both of you: it has been a pleasure working alongside you, and we are ever grateful for all you do.
